New customer – AGE partners with Worldfavor to achieve carbon neutrality
Worldfavor is announcing its new partnership with AGE, an international network of automotive glass service providers. Worldfavor’s sustainability platform for accessing, managing and sharing data will help the organization map out its emissions across all of its members. The partnership will enable AGE to work towards its goal of achieving carbon neutrality by 2025 and becoming the green alternative in the industry.
The automotive glass industry incurs CO2 emissions throughout the entire lifecycle of automotive glass. Considering the scale of its members’ operations, AGE realized the impact it could make regarding CO2. When developing its roadmap, the organization noted that achieving carbon neutrality meant understanding its CO2 output. It needed a way to collect data on its emissions that would be cost-effective, standardizable, and most accessible to its members. Worldfavor’s platform allows AGE to help its members accurately measure their CO2 output.
AGE wields the platform at an aggregated level where it can invite members to the system and set measurement questions for members to answer. This allows them to standardize measurements while helping make the process accessible to less experienced members with sustainability. All the while, AGE can view data at an aggregated dashboard level to understand what is causing the most emissions. AGE can share these insights with its members, who receive personalized dashboards to understand and improve their sustainability.
"Repairing instead of replacing a windshield saves around 44 kilograms of CO2, or about the same amount two full-grown trees can absorb in a year. When we looked at the thousands of customers our members help daily, we decided to set an ambitious course toward carbon neutrality. We are in the process of thoroughly implementing Worldfavor. The solution has been introduced to our members, who responded enthusiastically to being able to take new steps with their sustainability. We think this will significantly impact our dealings with insurance companies, for example", says Stefan Clijnk, Member of the board and Sustainability Lead at AGE.
To increase the accuracy of the measurements at a global scale, AGE made the commitment with its members to offer the solution for free. Worldfavor, being a highly knowledgeable partner on emission calculation, was able to supplement AGE’s knowledge and help optimize its measuring questions. With Worldfavor’s solution and aid, the path to achieving carbon neutrality became much more evident, and AGE expects measurable benefits.
"We are excited to start our work with Worldfavor. We believe this partnership will create even more opportunities to reduce our environmental impact and create a more sustainable and equitable future for everyone. I’m also happy to announce that this measurement and the use of the Worldfavor Platform will not have any cost for our current and future members”, says Marco Moreno, Executive Chairman and CEO at AGE.
