MEKO partners with Worldfavor to enhance supply chain transparency
MEKO, a leading automotive spare parts distributor in Northern Europe, has partnered with Worldfavor, to enhance supply chain transparency and sustainability. This collaboration highlights MEKO’s commitment to sustainable operations, ensuring compliance with evolving legislation and fostering a responsible supply chain network.
Worldfavor is a SaaS ESG platform that connects over 30,000 organizations globally, empowering secure sustainable growth with data-backed insights, including detecting and mitigating supply chain risks, complying with legal requirements, and accelerating their positive impact.
MEKO operates and develops business in the automotive aftermarket. Being the largest player in Northern Europe, with presence in eight markets with 600 stores, 20,000 workshop customers, where 4,300 of the workshops operate under MEKO’s own brands. With the vision to enable mobility — today, tomorrow and in the future, MEKO’s business concept is timeless and built on the sustainable notion of giving each vehicle a longer life by maintaining it.
MEKO’s partnering with Worldfavor marks a commitment to ensuring sustainable operations throughout the supply chain. MEKO faced challenges with having access to a consolidated and centralized overview of suppliers. Worldfavor provides a comprehensive overview of the entire supply chain, aiming to enhance sustainability processes across all departments.
"This collaboration will provide us with a consolidated view of our supplier base. It gives us the ability to demand improvements in various areas and allows us to identify risks, enabling us to prioritize our efforts in the most efficient and sustainable way," notes Jessica Tjulander, Director of Wholesale at MEKO.
Additionally, partnering with Worldfavor, MEKO aims to secure processes linked to upcoming legislation requirements and those already in force.
“We are convinced that a strong sustainability focus is key to delivering solid financial results, attracting and retaining employees, and remaining relevant in the future. As market leaders, we must lead in sustainability within our industry and take significant social responsibility. Our ongoing implementation of the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the coming Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) highlights the importance of supplier evaluation tools in addressing several European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), such as the 'workers in the value chain standard'," Louise Wohrne states.
“We’re excited to partner with MEKO, a leading player in the Northern European automotive aftermarket. Worldfavor’s platform will help MEKO gain a comprehensive and clear overview of their supply chain processes and advance social responsibility and sustainability initiatives. This collaboration embodies our mutual commitment to building a more sustainable future,” says Andreas Liljendahl, CEO at Worldfavor.
