Exploring impact beyond reporting compliance – Worldfavor attending panel discussion at Fintech Week
Last week, Worldfavor participated in a panel discussion about the Future of Green Fintech arranged by Stockholm Fintech.
The topic of this panel discussion was whether strict reporting compliance might have negative impacts and if focusing solely on measuring positives might lead to insufficient action. A panel of experts, including our co-founder, Frida Emilsson, shared insights and discussed these questions in light of their pioneering work.
What's ahead?
The Green Fintech panel discussed what's ahead related to questions regarding the negative impact of strong reporting compliance and whether measuring the positive leads to actions with too little impact. The panel discussion highlights the growing role of fintech in addressing pressing global challenges, particularly those outlined in the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. It showcases innovative solutions and collaborations to promote sustainability, financial inclusion, and green technology adoption. Moreover, it underscores the importance of balancing reporting requirements with tangible actions to drive meaningful impact. Additionally, the discussion gave insights into the role of AI in streamlining sustainability reporting and the involvement of organizations like UNICEF in supporting impactful startups. Overall, it provides a glimpse into the evolving landscape of fintech and its potential to contribute to a more sustainable and inclusive future.
Fintech Week provided many wise discussions and insights that we took away with us.
