Worldfavor participating at Dagens Industri Hållbart Näringsliv
On the 16th of November, Worldfavor participated at Dagens Industri Hållbart Näringsliv – a conference where the business leaders of today gathered to discuss how the climate and sustainability challenges can be handled in a commercially successful manner.
Our Head Of Marketing Siri Henriksson participated in a panel discussion about how sustainability no longer is a voluntary choice but rather a decisive factor for both companies' development but also society as a whole. Additional participants in the panel were Emilia Hagberg who is the senior sustainability manager at the multinational construction group Skanska, Hanna Bremander – the sustainability Specialist at Lekolar and the founder of the brand Eternal Mindset, Mia Tapio.
The conversation was centered around how sustainability data is a must and no longer a viable option as a result of increased legal and stakeholder requirements. Additional topics were Worldfavor's overall ambition to get companies to view sustainability reporting in the same way as they see financial reporting – in other words, an ongoing, iterative work – not just sustainability reporting once a year.
A few highlights from the conversation:
- The value and opportunities that can be created by systematically collecting data.
- How sustainability data is a must (and no longer a viable option) - as a result of increased legal and stakeholder requirements.
- How sustainability is no longer a voluntary choice, it's a decisive factor for both companies' development but also society as a whole in order to reach the climate goals.
- It's a fact that an increasing amount of companies will need to track other companies' sustainability information, in order to 1) Be relevant to stakeholders such as investors and customers. 2) To comply with regulations and legislation.
- How CFOs and sustainability experts can collaborate when new data is to be measured and evaluated.
